He was born at 3 p.m. on the 20th of December 1862 in the village Coldewey in the Sulingen parish in Lower Saxony in Germany. His parents were Johann Heinrich Diedrich and Sophie Margarethe Mohrmann. (F1)
Sulingen had 2238 inhabitants in 1910. Then it had a post office, a court, a registry, a tax office, an inspector of schools, an administration office of the railways, a Lutheran church, a synagogue, a technical school, a school of agriculture, a hospital, a power station, a bank, cattle and general markets, factories producing cigars, yeast and mustard, a distillery, mills and a saw mill. (A1)

Childhood:
He grew up in Coldewey. His father was a cottager. (F1)
He probably grew up in cottage No. 5 in Coldewey. (F11)
Wilhelmine Balcke told me that, when he was a young man, he worked on farms.
He was trained as a rifleman (German: Fusilier) in the First Royal Prussian Hanseatic Infantry Regiment Number 75. He was based in Stade near Hamburg. (C5)

First Marriage:
The single Catharina Grotheer bore him a child on the 15th of March 1883 in her stepfather's house in the village Bornreihe in the Hambergen parish near Osterholz-Scharmbeck, which is also in Lower Saxony. He married her on the 28th of April 1883 in Hambergen. She died in Bornreihe one year later. (C5)
He could sign his name. (C5)
Wilhelmine Balcke told me that Friedrich Mohrmann put his son in the care of a family in the Teufelsmoor region. This was possibly the family of his deceased wife's stepfather, Johann Kück.

Second Marriage:
He moved to Bremen. On the 28th of May 1892 he married the single Emilie Margarethe Louise Wrede in the suburb Hastedt. She was born on the 26th of October 1868 in Bremen. Her parents were Johann Heinrich Wrede and Henriette Dorothee Friedericke nee Niebecker from Hastedt. Emilie Margarethe Louise Wrede was called Emilie. (B2)
The couple lived in a flat in 21 Johann Straße in Hastedt, when Emilie Mohrmann gave birth to a baby named Heinrich Friedrich. The day of the birth was the 25th of March 1893. (B2)
Wilhelmine Balcke told me that Emilie Mohrmann was not healthy and that their child died when young.
Emilie Mohrmann died after a two years long marriage in a home that the couple shared with Wilhelmine Friedericke Wrede at 6b Johann Straße in Hastedt. Emilie Mohrmann was 26 years old and died at 2 p.m. on the 3rd of November 1894. (B2)

Third Marriage:
He married the widow Luise Viktoria Wilhelmine Welting on the 25th of September 1897 in Bremen. Her deceased husband was Heinrich Ludwig Welting. She was born on the 8th of November 1853 in Tennstedt near Langensalza in Thuringia (German: Thüringen). Her parents were the gardener Ernst Friedrich Gustav Sterz and Maria Barbara nee Blankenburg. Luise Viktoria Wilhelmine Mohrmann was called Wilhelmine. The couple moved to a flat in 73 Hardenberg Straße. (B2)
Wilhelmine Balcke told me that Friedrich Mohrmann worked for the Brüsing Company in the Oster Straße in the suburb Neustadt. He coloured clothing there.
Wilhelmine Mohrmann died after a seventeen years long marriage. She was 60 years old and died on the 6th of February 1914 in their flat in Bremen.

Advanced Years:
Wilhelmine Balcke told me that, after his third wife's death, he moved into his brother-in-law Franz Mulde's house in the Gellert Straße. His son, his daughter-in-law and his two grandchildren Wilma and Franz were also living there. In January 1919 they moved into Diedrich Mohrmann's newly acquired house in the Alexander Straße in the suburb Ostertor.
Wilhelmine Balcke also told me that he liked visiting his brothers, sisters and the family who adopted his son Diedrich. He liked gardening in his son's garden.
Wilhelmine Balcke also told me that he did not have to serve in the armed services in the first nor in the second world wars.

Death:
He died at 6 p.m. on the 10th of April 1944 in his son's house in the Alexander Straße in Bremen. He was 81 years old. (B1)
