He was born in the village Rudelsdorf in the Knobelsdorf parish near Döbeln in Saxony in Germany on the 3rd of May 1784. His parents were Johann Georg and Maria Christina Laudelei. (H5)

Childhood:
Until 1789 he lived on his grandfather's farm in Rudelsdorf. His father was a farmer there. Then, he was 5 years old, his parents, his brothers and his sisters left the farm. They moved to another parish. I do not know to which parish they moved. (H5)
In 1794, when Gottlob was 10 years old, the family moved to the nearby village called Wendishain. His father was a farmer with a small property there (German: Gärtner). (H6)
In 1804 Gottlob's father died. Gottlob Laudelei was 20 years old. He moved to the village Minkwitz in the nearby Leisnig parish. (H2, H6)

He married the single Johanna Veronika Hempel, who was from Minkwitz, on the 17th of November 1805 in the St. Matthai church in Leisnig. (H2)

Death:
He died on the 30th of September 1861 in the home of Carl Gottlob Mulde, one of his sons-in-law, in the village Wallbach in the nearby Gersdorf parish. He was 77 years old and a widower. He was buried in the cemetery in Gersdorf. (H1)
