He married the single Maria Christina Schilling, who was from Knobelsdorf, on the 15th of November 1781 in the church in Knobelsdorf. (H5)

Death:
He died of constipation at 3.30 p.m. on the 27th of October 1804 in Wendishain. He was only 44 years old. He was buried in the cemetery there three days later. He left behind his wife, two young sons and two young daughters. (H6)
