Latin: Valentinus; he was born in Mikstat and baptised there on the 2/2/1745. (D1)
He was ordained as a priest into the catholic Kanonikow Regularnych Lateranskich order (Latin: Canonici regulares Lateranenses; German: Lateranensische Chorherren) in the monastery near the Sw. Mikolaja church in Kalisz in 1770. (D6)
In 1996 the parish priest of the Sw. Trojcy church in Mikstat wrote to me that Walenty Lapczynski was the parish priest there from 1776 until 1791. He wrote that the only other information that he found in the church chronicles about him, was that he organised the building of the Sw. Rocha church in Mikstat in 1786. It is still standing. It is a wooden building and located near the cemetery. I believe that currently the masses are held in the newer Sw. Trojcy church, which is located in the middle of the town. The current priest wrote that the church in Mikstat does not have a portrait of Walenty Lapczynski.
Walenty Lapczynski did two census of Mikstat for the Polish government in 1791. His signature is under the two documents held in the A.G.A.D. archive in Warsaw. (D9)
