Birth:
He was born in the afternoon of the 10th of February 1801 in the small town Mikstat, which is near Ostrzeszow in the province Kalisz in Poland. His parents were Pawel and Agniszka Zimorski. (D1)
At that time this area belonged to Prussia.
Childhood:
He grew up in Mikstat. (D1)
When he was 6 years old, in 1807, this area became a part of France (under Napoleon's reign). In 1815, when he was 14 years old, it temporarily became Prussian again.
Work:
He probably was a tenant farmer in his productive years. When he grew old, one of his sons probably took over the farm and he had to earn money by labouring. (D1)
In local church records he was described once in 1835 as Komornik. Later he was described twice as Rolnik, once as Agricola and once, after his death, as Wyrobnik.
Marriage:
He married the single Teofila Stasierska, who was also from Mikstat, on the 28th of January 1834 in the Sw. Trojcy church in Mikstat. (D1)
They raised a family in Mikstat. (D1)
Death:
He died of senile decay on the 14th of June 1883 in Mikstat. He was buried in the cemetery there. (D1)
He was 82 years old.
Other Information:
1. In his wedding record from the 28/1/1834, his age is stated as 30 years. That makes his birth date January 1803 to January 1804. The only children named Valentinus Zimorski who were born near this time, were one born the 11/2/1801 (father: Pauli Zimorski) and one born 7/2/1802 (father: Caroli Zimorski).
In the birth record of the Valentinus Zimorski, who was born on the 7/2/1802, was recorded in different handwriting that he died on the 18/12/1803.
That means that the Valentinus Zimorski who was born on the 11/2/1801 is my ancestor. He was only 28 years old on the 28/1/1834.
I think that errors like that were made at that time. In the wedding record of my ancestor Lucya Joks nee Siankiewicz from the 16/2/1859, her age is stated as 33 years. According to her birth record, she was 35 years old.
There are no burial records for any Walenty Zimorskis between 1802 and 1804 inclusive.
Pauli Zimorski and Caroli Zimorski were probably brothers.
