Birth:
He was born in May 1768 in Mikstat near Ostrzeszow, which is in the Poznan region in Poland, and baptised there on the 27th day of that month. His parents were Mikolaj and Agnieszka Golicki. (D1)
The godfather was the mayor Marcin Fabrowski and the godmother was Ewa Fabrowski, a town councillor's wife. (D1)

He grew up in Mikstat. (D1)
In 1791, when he was 23 years old, two lots of census were taken in Mikstat. His stepfather owned a house in the ul. Koscielna (Koscielna street). The house number was 102 in one census and 104 in the other. There were no servants living in the house. (D9)
Work:
In the "Kanton Rolle" of 1795 it states that Jan Golicki and his family lived in his brother-in-law Antoni Polak's house (No. 81) at that time. (D10)
Perhaps he inherited his stepfather's house later.
In local church records he was addressed three times as Famatorum. (D1)
Marriage:
He married the single Teresa Polak, who was also from Mikstat, on the 19th of November 1793 in the Sw. Trojcy church in Mikstat. (D1)
They raised a family in Mikstat. (D1)
Death:
He died in Mikstat on the 6th of April 1829. He was buried in the cemetery there. (D1)
He was 60 years old.
