Agnes FINE

NEW ULM — Agnes Plagge, 77, of 826 S. Franklin died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 1, 1987, after suffering an apparent heart attack after attending church services. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Bernice Kirchhoff and Rachael (Mrs. Allan) Stelljes, both of New Ulm, Ruth (Mrs. Thomas) Hoff of Arlington, Texas, Gretchen (Mrs. Thomas) Fenne of St. Paul; sons, Lowellof Young America, Glen of Mendota Heights, Jerome of New Ulm Donald of Alto Loma, Calif.; 24 grandchildren ; nine great grandchildren; a sister Esther Schubert of Minneapolis; a stepsister, Alma Timmof Wood Lake; and a step-brother, William Fiene of Cortez, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, on July 5, 1981; a daughter; a son-in-law; a great-grandchild; two sisters; a stepsister; and a step-brother. She was born on Feb. 4, 1910, in Minneapolis to Ole and Bertha (Erickson) Peterson. She was later adopted by Louis and Helen Fiene. She married Henry G. Plagge on April 1, 1934, at Echo. After marriage they lived in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, for two years then moved to Fairfax, and in 1936 they moved to New Ulm.
