Vesper, May 18.- Charles Keip, 44, a prominent farmer in the town of Hansen, was killed late Thursday afternoon when the tractor which he was operating in a field on his farm turned over backwards. Deceased was born in the town of Hansen in 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keip, also of the town of Hansen. He was married to Beitha Griesbach in 1910, making their first home in the city of Wisconsin Rapids. Later they farmed at Beaver Dam for several years and then Mr. Keip operated a blacksmith shop at Fox Lake. Before returning to their present farm home six years ago Mr. and Mrs. Keip farmed near Neillsville and Mr. Keip also was a blacksmith for a short time at Port Edwards. He is survived by two sons, Carl and Clarence, and three daughters, Leona, Marie and Edna. Five sisters survive. They are Mrs. August Miller of New London, Mrs. Ed Dalman and Mrs. Arthur Boldte of Two Rivers and Mrs. Rudolph Adams of Columbus, Wis. Surviving brothers are Edward, Fred, Alvin, and Albert of Two Rivers and Emil and Frank of Columbus, Wis.
