Obituary:
Bertha Bower
Bertha Bower, 74, 726 N. Buckeye Ave. died Friday at 11:21 a.m. at WilsonMemorial Hospital following a three month illness. Born July 13, 1907,in Sidney, her parents were the late Fred and Rosa (Keplinger)Brockmann. She was married to Charles Bower in 1927 and he survives withthree children, Theodore, and Mrs. Lawrence (Jacqeline) Maxson, both ofSidney, and Dorothy Milton, Crawfordsville, Fla.; four grandchildren,including Charlotte Clark who was raised in the Bower home; threegreat-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Barker, Sidney, and Mrs.Margaret Sailor, Jackson Center, and one brother, William Brockman,Sidney. Mrs. Bower was a member of the Wager Avenue Church of God.Services will be held Monday at 1p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home with theRev. J.E. DeVore officiating. Burial will be in Pearl Cemetery,Swanders. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.and Sunday until the time of services.
