Mrs. Mary George Seagert, mother of Mayor Edward J. Seagert, of this village and widow of the late George Seagert, Sr. died at 7:30 New Years morning, following an illness of a week.
Mrs. Seagert was the daughter of Peter and Margaret Seagert of Sheldon (typo in paper, should be Peter and Margaret George)
where she was born September 3, 1850, living in Attica for over a half century. Sixty-two years ago she was married to Mr. Seagert.
Besides the Mayor she is survived by another son, George of Pittsburg; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Cooney of Alden; Miss Anna Seagert of Attica; Mrs. Allen McPhee of Greenwich, Conn.; Mrs. Ray Allen of Buffalo and Miss Clara Seagert of SouthernPines, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, Theodore, Frank, and Peter George all of Sheldon and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Reisdorf of Attica; Mrs. Anna Mathias of Batavia; and Mrs. Celia Horlein of Buffalo.
