<p> </p><p><p></p></p><p><p>" David was a very quiet, upright man. He sold his plantat</p></p><p><p>ion in Amherst Co. VA to follow his kinsfolk to Georgia, where he bought land. His wife Mary Harvie was a very sensible, good woman, and one of the best of wives. She was so fat when old, that she seldom left the house. Her husband was usually found by her side. She weighed between 3 & 4 hundred pounds and was tall in proportion. He was low in stature and weighed about one hundred twenty. They had but one child, a daughter Mary, who was beautiful, sprightly and intelligent and married Col. Benjamin Taliaferro." George R.
