In a phone conversation with Mr. Wilson Park of Wilson Park Funeral Home 12/11/1997: George attended high school in Rochester. George was a few years behind Mr. Park. Camp Butler National Cemetery said George was a Sergant in the Army during WWII. Obituary: Services for George Robert Ratz of 147 S. MacArthur Blvd. will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Hobart H. Heistand officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Mr. Ratz, 54, died about 3 p.m. Monday at 1009 W. Ash St. The State Journal-Register, Springfield, Wednesday, 12/3/1975, page 46.
