Schmidt OBITUARY - Death Date May 7, 1981 Edward J. Wagner, 67, of Route 1, Mount Calvary, died Thursday at hishome in the Town of Forest. Born July 26, 1913, in the Town of Forest, he was a son of the late HenryJ. and Ida Krug Wagner. He attended St. Pauls Parochial School in theTown of Forest, and on Nov. 18, 1935, married Gladys Bartell at Church ofOur Savior Evangelical Lutheran here. The couple farmed in the Town ofForest, retiring in 1976. Mr. Wagner was a member of St. Pauls LutheranChurch in the Town of Forest, was past president of East Shore BaseballLeague and past director of Forest Athletic Club. Surviving ar ehis wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Pfeifer of Route1, Mount Calvary; five sons, Marvin of Route 1, Mount Calvary, Peter ofBeaver Dam, John and Nicholas both of Mount Calvary, and Henry of Route1, St. Cloud; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Also survivingis a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Marcella) Moersch of Route 1, Malone. A son,sister, and brother preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Pauls LutheranChurch, Town of Forest. Pastor Kurt Grunewald will officiate, and burialwill be in Forest Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud is in chargearrangements. A memorial fund in his name has been established for St.Pauls Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest, and Winnebago LutheranAcademy.
