Otto, Twenty Year Man at Simmons, Died on yaturday AFTER LONG ILLNESS William Fred Otto, aged 46 years, one of the twenty-year men at the Simmons company plant, died Saturday at the Renogha hospital after a lingering illness from a complication Of diseases. He had been critically ill for several days, having been taken from hig home at 378 Elizabeth street to the hospital when his condition became most serious. The deceased was assistant master mechanic at the Simmons company and his death comes- as a real loss to the organization. He was {videht and of the large industry and was held in high esteem by 'both employers and fel- low employees. Born in Kenosha. Mr. Otto was born in Kenosha on September 8, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Otto, pioneer residents of Kenosha. He was educated in the eehools Of the city and later •attended the 'Kenosha High school. Early in 1 iffé he entered the employ of the Simmons company and had been advanced to the position of' trust which he held at the time of hie death. Surviving him are wife, Mrs. Lena Otto; one son, Leroy; and two daughters, LaVerne and Bernice. The deeeascd was a Mason, an Elk and c Modern Woodman. He had also been active in the organizations among the employees of the Simmons company. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoori at 1:30 0'clock at the home at 373 Elizabeth street, followed by serviees at the Immanuel E. church at 2:00 0'clock. Interment will be in the family plot in the Green Ridge cemetery. • German birthrate is increasing while French birthrate is falling steadily. |
