1 | Details: Harold C. Becker Harold C. Becker, 66, 5706 39th Ave., died Friday morning in St. Catherine's Hospital after a yearlong illness. Born June 26, 1914 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustav (Louise Lichte) Becker. He received his education in local schools and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. He married Bernice Sommers on June 18, 1938. He enlisted in the Navy on Nov. 3, 1943 and served with the Seabees as Boatswains Mate 1st Class in the Solomon Islands in the Pacific for 18 months. He was discharged on Nov. 16, 1945. He was associated with Becker Flooring & Awning Shop for 45 years and retired in June 1979. He was a lifelong member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gail) Jensen, Kenosha, and Mrs. Charles (Faye) Enos, Hortonville, Wis. ; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Adolph G., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and George W. and Theodore W. both of Kenosha; and a sister, Mrs. Henry P. (Ida) Homs, Greendale, Wis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph, who died in infancy. Kenosha News 3.4.1981 |
