Details: awson G. Baker, of RD 2, Easton, died at Memorial Hospital at Easton Sunday, Nov. 29, 1981. He was 74. Born in Greenwood, Del. on Aug 20, 1907, he was the son of the late Orra F. and Rosa Whitby Baker. In 1937 he moved to Talbot County and owned and farmed The Wickersham Farm near Easton until the time of his death. Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Ruth Becker Baker, whom he married in 1931; two daughters, Phyllis A. Shannon of Beltsville, and Janet B. Covey of Seaford, Del.; two sons, James D. Baker of Sharptown and Robin Baker of Trappe; two sisters, Helen West of Seaford Del., and Ethel Deremer of Harpers Ferry, W. Va., a half-sister Isabel Deremer of Hyattsville and 11 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the Newnam Funeral Home, Easton, Wednesday Dec 2 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ralph E. Day, pastor of the Easton Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton.
