Fourth child and third son of Henry and Mary (Cook) Byrom. Came from VA in his early manhood and settled in Bedford County TN as a Baptist Minister. He went to Texas and stayed for a year (1835-36), in Dallas County, then went back to Tennessee. He served as a Chaplin in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.

Birth: Jul. 15, 1809 Mecklenburg County North Carolina, USA Death: Feb. 2, 1863 Bedford County Tennessee, USA John, came from Virginia in his early manhood and settled in Bedford County,Tennessee as a Baptist minister. He served as a chaplain in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, dying from pneumonia following the Battle of Stone's River, near Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
