He was born 21 April 1810. North Carolina and died 4 Oct 1873, Wayne Co. TN. He was buried in Salem Primitive Baptist Church. In Wayne Co. Tn. He married Rebecca Montgomery and she was born 16 Nov 1810, Tn and died 11 dec 1994, Wayne Co. Tn They had eight children: Isabella, Robert S., Rebecca, William C. He was in Lincoln County in 1840 and moved to Bedford County in 1842, and is in the Bedford County Cesus in 1850. Then he moved to Lewis Co., TN by 1851 and was preaching at Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Wayne County. He bought 1200 acres of land at Trace Creek. He moved to 48 Creek in Wayne County, Tn by 1870. He received Tennessee Land Grant No. 20834 - 9 acres and 16 poles - dated October 27, 1849 for a 5-occupant Grant, Bedford County, Tn. (Source - Christine Damon's book).
