My gr gr grandfather was supposedly married to Melia Nutt. I can find nothing about her birthdate. One of their children was my gr grandfather Daniel David Shipman, b. about 1832; d. July 3,1907 in Newton County, MO. This Daniel was supposedly born in LA, although records make it seem like all of his siblings were born in TN. Family history says that the Shipmans received land through the Lousiana Purchase and then moved on to MO. Maybe the trip into LA when Daniel David Shipman was born was due to some business related to the LA Purchase and getting their land records, etc. Anyway, I'd appreciate anything anyone might offer! Thanks, I have a David Shipman son of Daniel Shipman and Melia Nutt. He was a brother to my great great grandfather William T. Shipman. David N.
