John Henry PENROD

Birth: Apr. 2, 1862 Death: Jun. 5, 1952 Massillon Evening Independent Friday June 6, 1952 page 2 John Henry Penrod, 90, died Thursday evening in the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Melvin Hochstetler of RD 2, Apple Creek. Mr. Penrod was a life member of the Church of God and a retired carpenter and builder. In addition to Mrs. Hochstetler, Mr. Penrod is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Ray Jones of Dundee; 2 sons, W. F. Penrod of RD 3, Alliance and Clark Penrod of Alliance; 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30pm (dst) at the Desvoignes funeral home, Mt. Eaton. The Rev. C. H. Deardorff of Smithville will officiate. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery, Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
