Birth: Oct. 25, 1866 Death: Apr. 7, 1941 Massillon Evening Independent Monday, 4/7/1941 page 2 Mrs. Amanda Penrod, 74, of 3 miles west of Dundee, was found dead in bed at her residence this morning. Death resulted from a heart ailment. Her husband, John H. Penrod; 2 sons, Frank Penrod of Sugarcreek, and Clark Penrod of Homesworth; 2 daughters, Mrs. Melvin Hochsteter of Apple Creek and Mrs. Ray Jones of Dundee; 2 brothers, Charles Jeandrevin of Indiana, and Albert Jeandrevin of Shanesville; 3 sisters, Mrs. John Stepper of Beach City, Mrs. Lena Hochstetler of Canton, and Mrs. Edith Fisher of Omer, Michigan, 25 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren survive. Mrs. Penrod was a member of the Church of God at Walnut Creek. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30pm at the residence. The Rev. J. R. Thomas of Hayesville will officiate. Interment will be made a Grandview Cemetery at Strasburg. The body will be removed to the residence Tuesday afternoon from the Desvoignes Funeral Home in Mt. Eaton.
