NOTE: Keats-Rowan says he was probably a young man in 1086 and hadsonsNicholas, Robert, possibly Baldwin and daus Cecilia andanother who wasa nun at Shaftesbury.Smyth, Lives of the Berkeleys p. 59, implies thathe died fiftyyears before his son did, that is in 1120. And on p. 64,thathe died shortly before his grandson Maurice was born, which wasc. 1120.
