NOTE: He and Agnes also had sons Hugh and Thomas - DD, p. 904.Smyth calls him the second son, but Ellis, on page 20 of theLives of the Berkeleys, says he was the first son, inheritinghis father's estates at Meriet.He was usually known as Nichols filius Harding.
