John Mason BROCKMAN

1. He went to Barren co., KY in 1814 and to central MO in 1827

(Cooper co., then to Moniteau co. and finally to Miller co., MO).

In Miller county he settled on land adjoining the Osage River at

a spot that became known as the Brockman Ford.

2. Was an ordained, missionary Baptist minister; was a pioneer

Baptist minister who preached near Tuscumbria in Miller co., MO;

he was the first moderator of the Osage River Association. He

was a Baptist minister in the 1860 Miller co., MO census.

3. Nancy's father, John Elmore, soldiered in the Revolutionary War.

4. In the various books authored by William E. Brockman, there is

some confusion about John Mason Brockman, son of Elyjah

Brockman, and John Mason Brockman, son of Ambrose Brockman.

To clarify differences between these two John Mason Brockman's,
