Eldora Matilda Oxner, 96, Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999, in Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Conrad) Knickle. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg, member of the Ladies Aid of the church and an honourary member of the Women's Missionary Society. Eldora was also a member of the Alexander Rebekah Lodge 22, Lunenburg and a life member of the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital Society, Lunenburg. She is survived by a sister, Sadie (Mrs. Earline Colp), Newton, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace; sisters, Mazie, Gertrude, Mabel, Charlotte, and Hattie; brothers, Willis, Guy, and Gordon. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, with visitiation this evening from 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. Interemnt in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
