James Albert KNICKLE

NI22288] The death of James Albert Knickle, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of Lunenburg, occurred at his home on Friday, January 25th. The late Mr Knickle had been in poor health and his death was not unexpected. He was 76 years of age and is survived by a widow; three sons, Guy, Willis, and Gordon; seven daughters, Mrs Edward Rhuland, Mrs Gertrude Stoddart, Mrs Urban Dares, and Charlotte, all of Lunenburg; Mrs James A Barnes, Cambridge, Mass; Mrs Wallace Oxner, Somerville, Mass; and Sadie, Somerville, Mass. Also three sisters, Mrs Edwin Morash and Mrs Lewis Smith, of Lunenburg; and Mrs Timothy Berringer, Bridgewater. The funeral took place Monday afternoon, January 28th, and was conducted by Rev Horace Gravenor of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church. The profusion of floral bloom testified to the esteem in which deceased was held, and was as follows: Pillow - wife Ida; Sadie, Dora and Wallace. Anchor - Guy and Mal. Harp - Willis and Vivian. Wreath - Gordon and Charlotte; Mabel and Edward; Hattie and Urban; Ida and family. Basket - Gertrude and family; Minnie and Eddie; Mr and Mrs Robert Schwartz; Mr and Mrs N C Stoddard, Halifax. Spray - Maizie and James; Mr and Mrs D M Eisenhauer.
