Harris, 90, of rural Marshall, formerly of Lawrence, Kan., died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at his home. Graveside services with Masonic rites will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Oak Hill cemetery in Lawrence. Memorials are suggested to the Acacia Lodge #9, A.F and A.M. in Lawrence in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Born July 25, 1920, in Lawrence, he was the son of the late George W. and Susan McGee Harris. On April 26, 1950, in Lawrence, he married Noma Jean Steele, who survives of the home. He was a 51 year member of Acacia Lodge #9, A.F. and A.M. in Lawrence. He was a member and past president of the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence. He farmed and worked for a trucking company before operating the Midland Farm Store in rural Lawrence until his retirement. He also raised purebred Simmental cattle. He is survived by two sons, Marc Harris, of rural Marshall and Karl Harris, of Uhrich; one daughter, Sherrel Crenshaw, of Ottawa, Kan.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Neil Harris, of Lawrence and one sister, Nancy Schaffert, of Topeka, Kan. He was preceded in death by one grandson, three brothers and one sister.
