Published in The Ochiltree County Herald (Perryton, TX), Thursday, December 27, 1945: OBITUARY OF C. H. WILLIS Funeral Services were conducted at the Methodist Church Monday afternoon for C. H. WILLIS, 88 year-old Canadian resident and former Ochiltree countian, who passed away I his home at Canadian Sunday morning, December 23. Rev. W. E. Fisher of Panhandle was in charge of Memorial Services assisted by Rev. H. L. Thurston, pastor of the Perryton church. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Hood Funeral Home, Pampa. Burial was made in the Ochiltree Cemetery. Pallbearers were George CUTTER, E. W. WITT, L. H. LANCE, John E. JOHNSON, T. M. OSBORNE and Sam HERGERT. Mr. WILLIS came to Ochiltree County from Lahoma, Oklahoma, and was engaged in farming for 22 years and moved to Canadian three years ago upon retiring from the farming business. Survivors are his wife, a son, L. L. WILLIS; a daughter, Mrs. P. W. WERMSKE of Farnsworth and a grandson, Lowell WERMSKE of Perryton.
