Published in The Ochiltree County Herald (Perryton, TX), Thursday, February 18, 1960; MRS. C. H. WILLIS SERVICES HELD IN PERRYTON CHURCH Funeral Services for Mrs. C. H. WILLIS were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 08, in the First Methodist Church of Perryton with the pastor, Rev. S. Duane Bruce, officiating. Interment was in Ochiltree Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers. Pallbearers were Willard WITT, Everett HAGGARD, H. C. BROWN Jr., J. J. KEIM, Sr., Fred TILLMAN and C. E. HAAR. Mrs. Hattie Serena WILLIS was born April 02, 1870, in Illinois. She died February 06, in Perryton. Mr. and Mrs. WILLIS moved to the Perryton community in 1923 and farmed southwest of town. Mr. WILLIS passed away December 23, 1945. Mrs. WILLIS had been a member of The Methodist Church for 71 years. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Pete WERMSKE of Perryton and Leslie WILLIS of Dumas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence ZIRKLE of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Oran ZIRKLE of Dodge City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle BURCHFIELD of Goltry, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Gertrude KITCHEN of Pearidge, Arkansas. Out-of-town person attending her Services were Mrs. Mike ADAMSON and Mrs. Myrtle BUCHFIELD of Goltry, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Bill ZIRKLE and family of Hollis, Oklahoma; Oran ZIRKLE of Dodge City, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence ZIRKLE of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. S. B. LEWIS of Dumas; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. STROUD, Mrs. Ben REED and Mrs. Paul PATTON, all of Canadian, and Mr. and Mrs. Noah PLETCHER of Pampa. ~
