Ihre genaue familiäre Herkunft ist unklar, doch wird sie häufig mit der Familie der lothringischen Sundgaugrafen in Verbindung gebracht. Sie gründete 1028 die Abtei Saint-Marie de Ronceray, in welche sie nach dem Tod ihres Mannes als Nonne eintrat. Sie starb am 1. April 1046 während einer Pilgerreise in Jerusalem und wurde in der Grabeskirche bestattet.
