Notes for this person
Postville Herald, Wednesday, 8 April 1942. In the Luana column. Mrs. Minnie Zahn, who made her home with Mrs. Mary Knuth the passed eleven years, became ill and was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Kleinow, at Marquette where she passed away last Tuesday. She had been in poor health for several years. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Lutheran church at McGregor and burial was made in the McGregor cemetery. She leaves to mourn her departure six children: Henry and Walter of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Willis Kohl of McGregor, Mrs. Fred Kleinow and Mrs. Emerald Atchison of Marquette and Hugo of Springfield, Ill.; also two brothers, George Meine of McGregor and Fred Miene of Postville, and four step-children.
