Suggested edit: Obit: Services Monday for Mrs. Anna M. Kohl Funeral services were held on Monday, July 27, for Mrs. Anna M. Kohl, who passed away at her home in McGregor on Friday, July 24. There services were held at 2:00 p. m. from the Thornburg Funeral Home, with Rev. James Hearne, pastor of the Methodist Churches of Marquette and McGregor, officiating at the rites. Burials was at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Anna Margaretta Zahn, was born at McGregor, Iowa on March 24, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Zahn. She lived in McGregor for 48 years, and was a member of the Methodist Church, the W. S. C. S. American Legion Auxiliary and the Railroad Women's Club. She attended school in South Dakota. She was married on March 24, 1914 to Willis Kohl, who preceded her in death in October of 1957. Three children were born to them: Mrs. Bernice Hunter, Mrs. Margie Murphy, and John Kohl. Mrs. Kohl was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. North Iowa Times, July ____, 1959
