Betty E. ZIRKLE

Published in York Daily Record & York Dispatch on October 31, 2012: Betty E. (Zirkle) Gable, 81, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, at Misericordia Convalescent Home in York. She was the wife of James R. Gable, Sr. of Dover. Mrs. Gable was born December 17, 1930, in York, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Kefauver) Zirkle. She graduated from North York High School in North York and was employed by Shiny Brite Corp., in Emigsville. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church on S. George St., in York. In addition to her husband, James, Betty is survived by her daughter, Debra K. Billet of York; her son, Rev. James R. Gable, Jr and his wife Jayne of Lititz; her two grandchildren; her three great grandchildren; her three sisters, Shirley Haugh, Charlene Graffius, and Sandra Evans, all of York; and her two brothers, Joseph "Ed" Zirkle of Manchester and Robert Zirkle of York. Her funeral service and burial will be private. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville.
