Charles Otis MCCLURE

Funeral services for Charles Otis McClure, 67, will be at 6:30 p.m. today in the Burke-Hammer funeral home chapel with Rev. Dwight D. Smoothers, assistant pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. The body will be sent to Tupelo, Miss., for graveside services at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Lee Memorial Gardens. Pegues funeral home will be in charge of arrangements in Tupelo. Mr. McClure, a paving superintendent for E. Aldrich Construction company, died at 11 a.m. Monday in a job accident (truck backed over him). He was a Mason and a veteran of World War I. A native of Jackson County, Ill., he had recently moved to Lake Charles. Survivors are his wife; one stepson, Jimmie Lee Odum of Amory, Miss.; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. C. W. Chunn of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Bob Kinkade of San Diego, Calif. From Lake Charles American-Press.
