OTTO PAGELER

Otto Pageler, the son of Henry John and Marie Pageler, was born May 10th, 1866, at Marx, Ostfriesland, Germany and departed this earthly life suddenly November 24, 1941 at his home, Belvue, Kansas at the age of 75 years. He was baptized on June 24, 1866 and confirmed on Palm Sunday 1881. None of his seven brothers or sisters survive him in this earthly life. In 1884 he came to Wamego and lived the rest of his life in the Wells Creek community. Here he became a member of the Immanuel (Wells Creek) Evangelical Church and was a member at death. He was united in marriage to Katherina Pageler on March 8, 1894 in the original Wells Creek Evangelical church. she survives him. Their eldest son, John Frederick died in infancy but the following children survive him, Edward, Belvue; Marie Herren; North English, Iowa;Albert, Belvue; Selma Hafenstein, Wamego; and there are seven grandchildren. There also remain a host of other relatives and friends. Immortality alone can teach us mortals how to die. Last rights will be held Thursday, November 27th at 2:00pm at Immanuels's Evangelical and Reformed church with Rev. E. H. Fresen in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

In Loving remembrance of our father, Otto Pageler, who died a year ago today, November 24. "We will miss thee from our home, dear father, We miss thee from they place. A shadow o'er our life is cast, We miss the sunshine of thy face. We miss thy kind and willing hand, they fond and earnest care. Our home is dark without thee, We miss you everywhere" Sadly missed by his wife children and grandchildren.
