Details: Gilbert E. Fechner Gilbert E. Fechner, 88. 1805 44th St., died Thursday morning (Feb. 4, 1988) at his home. The son of the late Ernest F. Fechner and Rosetta (Becker) Fechner, he was born March 18, 1899 in Kenosha. He attended local schools. on Oct. 29, 1921 he married Mabel Ziesemer. A former carpenter, he worked for a number of Kenosha contractors, and for 12 years worked at assey-Ferguson Inc., in Racine, retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Northside Bible Church, Carpenters Local 161 and was secretary of the Trades & Labor Council for many vears. Surviving him are his wife; two sons. Gilbert G. , Sturtevant, and Milo, Black Earth; four daughters, Mrs. Irving (LaVerne) Johnson and Betty Lou Hall, both of Kenosha, Irene Arnoldini, Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Mrs. Robert (Alice) Kelly, Franklin, Mich. brother, Wesley F. , Kenosha; a sister, Esther Freitag, Kenosha; 24 grandchildren, and 28 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Edward C. and Chester J., and a sister, Ruth Bloxdorf. The Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
