McCartney of Roseland, died at 6:25 a.m. yesterday in the Altoona Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1907, at Roseland, a son of John C. and Ida (Hohn) McCartney. Surviving are four grandchildren, his mother of Roseland, seven brothers and sisters; Terry, Mary, Mrs. Elda Dixon, Mrs. Floyd Taterus, Mrs. Elsie Kuhn, Mrs. Stella Troxell and James. Mr. McCartney was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Coalport V.F.W. Friends will be received in the Troxell Funeral Home, Glasgow from 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. tomorrow.
