Born September 8, 1878, in Roseland, a daughter of Henry and Mary Jane (Troxell) Hohn, she wed John C. McCartney, who died December 19, 1961. Surviving are seven children: Terry, Philipsburg, Mary, at home, Mrs. Elda Dixon, Fallentimber, Mrs. Floyde Taterus, of Shamokin, Mrs. Elsie Kuhn and James, Glasgow and Mrs. Stella Troxell, of Coalport RD; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Roseland Ladies Aid Society and a charter member of the Caroline Troxell Rebekah Lodge, 576, of Glasgow. Friends will be received at the Troxell Funeral Home after 7 pm today. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
