McCartney and Ida Belle (Hohn) McCartney Floyde and Anthony were married in Towson, Maryland obit (TheItem, Shamokin, PA, Aug 9, 2007) Floyde M. Taterus COAL TOWNSHIP -- Floyde M. Taterus, R.N., of 1219 W. Arch St., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born in Glasgow, the daughter of the late John C. and Ida (Haun) McCartney. She was married in Towson, Md., to Anthony L. Taterus, who preceded her in death in 1973. She was a graduate of Reade Township High School and Norristown State School of Nursing. Mrs. Taterus was a registered nurse. She was first employed at Norristown State Hospital, followed by Sunbury Community Hospital, and she retired from Danville State Hospital. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Coal Township. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Cathy Taterus of New Cumberland and Ronald and Celeste Taterus of Hazleton; three grandchildren, Melanie of Clearwater, Fla., Stephen of Camp Hill and Kevin of Cape Coral, Fla.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 1300 W. Pine St., Coal Township, PA 17866.
