WALTER HOLZ DIES NOV. 10 AT AGE OF 60

Walter Henry Holz, St. Marys, a native of Pottawatomie county, died last Wednesday at his home following a month's illness. He was 60.
He was born Nov 10, 1905, on a farm in Pottawatomie County the son of William and Anna Holz.
He was married to Clara Marie Volkening of Wells Creek in Wabaunsee County, Nov 25, 1952. Mr. Holz spent his life in farming, and was a member of the United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara Maire Holz, of the home; one son: Clyde W. Holz of Belvue; his mother; Mrs. Anna Holz, Rossville; two brothers; Carl Holz and Wilmont Holz, Rossville; two sisters; Mrs. Rose Pageler, Wamego and Mrs. Lela Richards, Bryte, Calif; four grandchildren.
Mrs. Holz was preceded in death by his father in 1945; two brothers George Holz, Belvue in 1920 and Alfred Holz, Belv ue 1921; one sister; Mrs. Ann Maas, Davenport, IA in 1946.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Verschelden Funeral Chapel, with interment in Valley View Cemetery. The Rev. Irvin Stegner officiated.
